- Description
All scenes probably taken at Pipiriki Pā on the Whanganui River. Skins are drying on a ledge outside a [shearing shed?] (frames 1 and 2). Two women, an older woman and a young woman, including Wehe Wallace (on left) and Annette Tamakehu [Annette Tamakehu Hawe], carrying her baby (she is wearing a United States t'shirt) are seen in frames 3 to 5 and 8 to 10. Te Otinga George Waretini is seated on the river bank (frame 6); and two others have possibly been identified as Dolly Wiari? (frame 7), and Tom Hawira, one of two men paddling in the river (with hands on hips, frames 11 & 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
