- Description
All scenes taken at Te Ao Mārama at Te Ao Hou Marae on the Whanganui River. In frame one several young Māori are leaning over a fence looking down towards the Whanganui River (which is just visible in the background on the right). Most of the other images show closeup views of people at the marae, including a woman (identified as Alice Poutini) wearing a large sunhat (frames 7 to 10). Others who have been identified include Wayne Tamati in a white overall (frame 2); Sheila Te Patu in white (frame 3); Rumatiki Ruth Wright (frame 4); Turama Hawira (frame 6); Rua Keremeneta and Betty Rapana Wiari (frame 11); and Jack Gray (frame 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
