Description

All scenes taken at Te Ao Mārama at te Ao Hou Marae on the Whanganui River. A young Māori is riding bareback on a horse in a field rising up hill in the background (frame 1). The marae is seen in the background (frames 2 to 3 & 7 to 8). Hanging on a line from the roof of the marae to a high pole are several large flags. They read "TANEWAOAR[A]NGI", "Ngatikura", and "Tupoho". A group of clergymen are walking towards the marae in frame 2, and are seen also in frames 7 to 12. They are possibly blessing the back of a building in frames 11 and 12. The Kaumatua being assisted is Rangimotuhia Katene. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified.
