- Description
All frames taken in Greytown during the Greytown Borough Centennial celebrations. Frames 1 to 5 show people outside houses en route to the Greytown Memorial park. An older woman is sitting on a camp chair in the doorway of her home (frames 4 & 5). A woman is with her small son who is holding a balloon filled with helium (frame 6); two young Māori girls are standing outside a caravan selling donuts (frame 7); two young people are sitting up on a cart drawn by a clydesdale horse, the driver wearing a top hat (8); and a woman, wearing a shawl and feathery bonnet, with a crocheted rug over her knees is holding the reins on a two-wheeled gig drawn by a white horse (frames 9 to 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
