- Description
Al images taken in the central North Island, probably in the Raetihi area. Frames 1 and 2 show an old wooden two-storeyed hotel facing the road, with verandahs upstairs. A "Streecrete" ute is parked outside. An older man and a boy are standing outside "Martin's Toys" in frame 3, and two young Māori are seen in a car parked across the road from the toyshop (frame 8). A group of old people are seen on a bench seat possibly at a bus stop outside a pub, possibly with "Imperial" in its name (frames 5 to 7). The Ratana church at Raetihi "Te Whare Whakamoemiti" (The House of Praise) is seen in frames 10 to 12. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
