- Description
All frames show demonstrators and onlookers coming away from Parliament grounds after a protest against the NZSIS Amendment Bill (New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill). Images 1 to 3, 5 to 6 & 10 were taken as the protesters march along Lambton Quay, Victoria Street and Taranaki Street. A group of women and children are leading the procession in several of the views. A large banner is seen in frames 1 to 3 which reads "Throw out S.I.S. Bill. Socialist Action League". A group of workmen are watching the marchers in frames 8 & 9, and in frames 11 & 12 a group is seen wearing head-covering masks (giving an appearance similar to that of Ned Kelly, the Australian outlaw). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
