- Description
All frames show demonstrators and onlookers at a protest against the NZSIS Amendment Bill (New Zealand Security Intelligence Service Amendment Bill). The first image shows people on the steps of the Cenotaph, all the rest were taken in Parliament grounds. There are close-up views of protesters carrying placards which include: "Anti union 'SIS Bill' Out!", "Say no to SIS Bill", "Don't bugger our freedom", "Stop the snoopers", "Stand, be counted, oppose SIS Bill", "Kia mutu. S.I.S. Pire", "The bill is aimed at You", and, "Speak up now or be silenced forever". Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
