- Description
All frames show demonstrators and onlookers at a protest against the NZSIS Amendment Bill (New Zealand Security Intelligence Service). The first five images were taken during a march to Parliament showing the Chief Post Office and other buildings near the waterfront in the background. A young man in frame 4 is wearing a Victoria University t'shirt. Frames 6 to 12 are close-up views of protesters carrying placards which include: "Titina ia mate le S.I.S. Bill", "Defend our democratic rights", "New Zealanders. Who'll be next ... It's time to stand up & fight. Smash the 'Security Bill'", and "Embassy. Throw out the S.I.S. Bill". Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
