- Description
All frames taken in Pigeon Park, Wellington, showing pro abortion and a few anti abortion demonstrators bearing banners and placards. These include "Abortion a woman's right to choose"; "Repeal the abortion laws"; "No state-enforced motherhood"; "Put Gill on the pill"; "Lose a women [sic]. Gain an All Black"; "Every child a wanted child"; and "What about my conscience vote?". Taken during the time Robert Muldoon was Prime Minister and Frank Gill was Minister of Health. In frame 10 a man is holding a placard with a cartoon of Robert Muldoon and the words "Our gross National product". The building Trojan House is visible in frame 11. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
