"Stop the Tour 1976" protest in Wellington

- Description
All frames taken during a night procession by people protesting against the 1976 rugby tour to South Africa in which the All Blacks finally toured with Māori and Samoan players as "honorary whites." Several of the marchers are wearing masks caricaturing Prime Minister Robert Muldoon who agreed to the request that players go as "honorary whites" (frames 3, 11 & 12); and South African Prime Minister John Vorster. Placards include "All White's alright, eh Rob?"; "C.P.N.Z Racial harmony only thru class war"; "Oppose apartheid. Stop the tour. VUW HART"; "Black and white together". Several of the protesters have their faces painted half black and half white; and Tom Poata is seen in frame 5, with his hands in his pockets. A man is seen in frames 2 & 7 wearing a marching drum.
