Description

All images show unidentified protesters and part of their tent city set up in Parliament grounds after the ceremonies for the arrival of the Māori Land March in October 1975. Groups are seen in gatherings on the lawn in front of Parliament with frames 4, 5 and 7 showing the partially completed Beehive building in the background. Frames 1, 2 and 8 to 10 show some of the tents. Two men are seen in frame 12, one of whom is possibly Māori activist Dun Mihaka. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
