- Description
Most images show unidentified participants in Parliament Grounds at the ceremonies for the arrival of the Māori Land March (Te Roopu o te Matakite) in October 1975. In frames 1 and 2 a man is standing as though a statue on top of a plinth. Other images show young people amongst the crowd; Prime Minister Robert Muldoon is seen kissing an unidentified Māori woman in frame 8. An unidentified man wearing a korowai and bearing the Pou Whenua is seen in frames 10 and 11. Several people are wearing Māori tipare (headbands.) Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
