All images show aspects of the ceremonies on the arrival of the Māori Land March at Parliament in October 1975. Frame one shows a welcome pōwhiri performed by members of Ngāti Pōneke, in front of Parliament Buildings. The kuia kneeling in the foreground in frame 4 is Harata Solomon. Cyril Chapman, carrying the Pou Whenua, is seen in frames 2 & 3, and 5 to 7. Syd Jackson is carrying a child in his arms on the right of Cyril Chapman (frame 6.) Frames 8 & 9 and 11 & 12 show groups in the crowds watching the events. Prime Minister Robert Muldoon is speaking to the crowd in frame 10. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified.
