- Description
All frames taken at Takapūwāhia Marae in Porirua, during the stay of marchers during the October 1975 Māori Land March. Ans Westra is photographing men, women and children as they watch activities at the marae. Tim Shadbolt, wearing a tipare (headband) is seen in frame 8; two women are wearing feather cloaks (frames 4 and 5), one of whom is wearing a piupiu (flax skirt). A kuia is carrying a woven kete (frame 10). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
