Reports back from her involvement in the 2017 Honolulu Biennial, a showcase of art from Hawai'i and its Pacific neighbours. Observes that often in global art exhibitions input from the Moana community is small, but here it becomes the central focus, allowing Pacific issues to be explored in multiple and complex ways. Describes the exhibits of the six NZ artists present - Yuki Kihara, Greg Semu, Lisa Reihana, John Vea, Fiona Pardington, and Brett Graham.
