Photograph of a group of Māori subjects beside a tree in front of a small house, taken circa 1932 by John Batchelor of Whangarei. The group consists of a very old woman reclining on a mat on the ground and covered with cloaks, and being supported by another woman. A girl is sitting beside them and a young man is standing behind holding a large framed photograph of a young woman. Inscribed on the back of the print is 'Te Tauhou April 1932'. The old woman is possibly Te Tauhou Aoripi Pirihi of Takahiwai.
