Scenes in the Mercer, Cuba, and Dixon Street areas

All frames were taken in central Wellington. Frames 1 and 2 show a row of onlookers leaning against the Wellington City Corporation building in Mercer Street. Three young men are seen coming around a corner of the building in frames 3 and 4; three older women are sitting on a bench seat in the sun (frame 5); a large group of young people wearing white lab-style coats are walking across the road, and standing on the corner of Dixon Street outside Woolworths (frames 6 and 7,) and frame 8 shows two young girls wearing embroidered and sequinned vests over white shirts, and floral wreaths in their hair sitting (possibly in Cuba Street). A young man with long hair and beard is hoisting his young daughter onto his shoulders outside the London Book Shop (frames 9 and 10), and a young woman is holding her baby preparatory to lowering the child into her pram (see frame 1 in AW-1342), outside Millers shop in Cuba Street (frames 11 and 12.
