Photographs of the Women's March on Washington - Wellington, New Zealand, taken 21 January 2017 by Valerie Love. The images show people gathering at Parliament Grounds in Thorndon and marching to Civic Square via Lambton Quay and Willis Street. There are also photographs of signs held by participants relating to human rights, women's rights, racial equality, sexuality and reproductive rights, economic rights and issues of equal pay, and other social issues.
The images also include views of crowds gathering for the Love Trumps Hate festival in Civic Square that immediately followed the march.
The Women's March on Washington - Wellington was one of hundreds of global protests held in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington (USA) to advocate for human rights and social justice issues facing women and diverse communities.
