- Description
Frames 1 to 6 were taken in Willis street, Wellington. They show a woman and young boy (frame 1), and two young boys (frame 6) all looking at a poster for films at the Lido Cinema. Frames 2 and 3 show a large American car, a Mark 1 (Mach 1) Ford Mustang, parked outside a chemist shop and Suzy's coffee bar, which has attracted the attention of a couple of teenagers. Frames 7 to 12 were taken outside the Trade Fair '75 held at the Winter Show Building, in Wellington. Two young Māori boys are seen in front of a long queue waiting to go into the fair in frames 7 and 8. A group of protesters are seen in frames 10 to 12 with placards reading "Wake-up N.Z. Communism itself is wrong", and "[...] for world freedom." Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
