Description

Frames 1 to 7, and 10 and 11 show the arrival and departure of Japanese Prime Minister Tanaka at Parliament in October 1974. New Zealand Prime Minister Bill Rowling is seen in frames 1 and 2, as is Frank Henry Corner, Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs from 1973-1980. Frames 8 to 10 show a group of demonstrators protesting against Japan's killing of whales. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
