All views taken in Manners Street, Pigeon Park (later known as Te Aro Park), Dixon Street, Taranaki Street area. James Smith's department store, and the Grand Opera House are seen in frame 5; the Kings Theatre cinema (frames 1, 9, 10 and 11); and Avis car rentals (frames 9 and 10). Most images show people relaxing on bench seats in Pigeon Park. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
