- Description
The first four frames show a two-storeyed wooden building at 261 Tinakori Road, Thorndon. Above the entrance is a sign which reads "Automobile As'soc'n Hotel." Pinned to the side of the building is a sign which reads "Alice's Restaurant." A man with long hair, carrying a briefcase is standing outside the gate. Frames 5 to 12 show stages in the demolition of a building (possibly a house in the Hill Street area) making way for the construction of the motorway. There is a row of garages on the road below the building. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
