- Description
Images 1 and 2 were taken looking over rocks to the sea near Paekakariki, image 3 looking back towards Centennial Highway. Frames 4 to 11 relate to a celebration of steam trains, including (in frames 4 and 5) a young man wearing a fabric placard which reads "Help to preserve a steam engine featuring the smokebox [?] J1234 only $2.50." Other views show people on a platform, railway workers on the track in Wellington, and smoke from the steam engine visible on a track near Wellington City. Frame 12 was taken outside the railway station. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
