A view of Mayor Island, or Tuhua. Hutton writes: 'Mayor Island is a large inhabited place but we did not go very near it. It is about 20 miles out to sea from Tauranga Mouth. It is from this island that the greenstone comes, which is so highly prized by the natives.'
