View of the Moehau Range, Port Charles and the Mercury Islands, from off the Coromandel Coast. Hutton describes this page and the next as 'Two coast views I took from the "Flying Fish" of parts of the coast towards Tauranga. The native name of this part of the coast is "sleeping wind" and rightly is it so named for we were becalmed there both going to Tauranga and returning.'
