Photographs relating to Henry Stowell

Comprises mainly photographs of Sir James Carroll and other people. The subjects include Henry Stowell, Te Kai Rakau (Sir James Carroll's uncle), a photograph of the Lindauer painting of Heta Te Haara of Ngāpuhi, Sir Robert Stout. Photographers include S P Andrew. Also an image of the landscape at Arthur's Pass possibly showing Mount Rolleston, with a tarn in the foreground, taken by Roy Cowan in 1936; and an image of a young Māori woman asleep in the porch of a small thatched whare. The annotations on the back include "Hohepa" "Hare Te Heihei" and "Te Moeroa".
