- Description
Frames 1 to 9 show a man working with a concrete mixer and large wheelbarrow on a building site in Upper Willis street next to door to number 279 Willis Street. This house (seen in frame 9) was built for Dr John Ewart in 1909, designed by Hoggard and Prouse in Arts and Crafts style. Used as offices in the 1970s. Now known as Appraisal House, and currently (2016) owned by the Papua New Guinea High Commission. Frames 10 to 12 show a group of five young men and women sitting along the top of a brick garage further up Willis Street near the corner of Abel Smith Street. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
