Preparation for construction work on the New Bank of New Zealand building in Wellington. Looking down Lambton Quay with the Auckland Building Society building on the left and the old Bank of New Zealand building on the right. Frames 1 to 11 show men working with drilling equipment, and a digger. Frame 12 shows a walkway with passers-by watching the work. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
