Description

Colour proof sheets showing power stations, dams, and surrounding areas, as well as other images related to electric power production in New Zealand.

Images include the ceremony 'topping off' Rutherford House in Wellington (the Electricity Department's new Head Office building) with General Manager Eric Mackenzie and Minister of Electricity Les Gandar, Palmerston North Training Centre, a New Zealand Electricity Department notice about "The Rogue Bore" (at Wairakei thermal field), a site for the proposed 'Auckland no. 1' thermal power station, celebration of the Mangahao jubilee, system control at Islington substation, the Nelson office of the NZED, Benmore village, a Linemen Training School (location not specified), and scenes labelled "Meremere" that appear to be at Meremere school.

Sheets 272 and 296 are annotated "Not used".
