Frames 1 to 6, show an adult and two small children paddling and swimming in the Haast River near the Haast River Bridge. Frames 7 to 12 with people by the water and a dinghy in the lake were taken at Lake Wanaka, 1971. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
(Name of bridge given by Ans Westra as the Gates of Haast Bridge, however comparing images on the internet the area she was in is a wide river area, as distinct from the narrow gorge in which the Gates of Haast Bridge is found).
