Postcard showing a photograph by J C Burrow, of fifteen rugby players in their black uniforms with a silver fern symbol. Seven men stand in the back row, seven sit or recline in the front row, and one man with a hat crouches in the centre between the rows. The players are unnamed. In the background is a wall with a door in it.
The message on the verso is from "Eric" to Miss Tyra Petersen of Clarence River, New South Wales. The player second from left in the photo has a cross written beside him, showing that he is a Wanganui man, a cousin of "Eric".
J C Burrow may be the Cornish photographer John Charles Burrow. It is assumed that the photograph may have been taken in Britain. It is published by a London company.
