Description

Envelope addressed to the Perpetual Trustees in Christchurch, shows a reproduction of a photograph of a group of Maori in traditional dress standing in the Temuka River and on its banks. The envelope is postmarked 13 May 1934.

The verso identifies the publisher as the Progress League, and advertises Temuka's attractions: glorious climate, lots of sunshine, notably healthy; trout fishing, salmon fishing, beautiful public gardens, park and recreation grounds, excellent camping facilities for touring motor parties.
