Dr Stephen Taylor "Fasting for Peace" at Albert Park, Auckland; and views around Civic Theatre corner and Princes Street. Photographs taken in 1970 by Ans Westra. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified.
The first eight images show Dr Stephen Taylor with supporters and onlookers on about the 30th day of "Fasting for Peace" in the pavilion at Albert Park, Auckland. He is seen in a sleeping bag lying on an air mattress under the shelter of the pavilion (or band rotunda). The last four images show groups of Pacific Island people in the vicinity of the Civic Theatre and Princes Street including a woman and child across the road from the Civic Tavern.
