Frames 1 to 4, Erik Westra's fifth birthday party, May 1970. Frames 6 to 12, an opening exhibition of paintings by Pat Hanly at Peter McLeavey's gallery. Photographs taken in 1970 by Ans Westra. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified.
Frames 1-4 show Erik Westra, wearing a party hat at his fifth birthday celebrations. Next to him on the right is Anna McLeary.
Frames 6-12 are at Peter McLeavey's gallery at an opening of paintings by Pat Hanly. Frame 10, centre, Robert Franken; frame 11, left, Pat Hanly; frame 12, Jill McGregor.

Source of descriptive information - Ans Westra has given the date May 1960 for her son's birthday party. However, according to the internet he was born in 1965, and the birthday cake has five candles on it. Given the date of other images taken by her on this roll of film, the date appears to be May 1970.
