Source of descriptive information - Date given by Ans Westra is February 1970, but all the information on the internet in websites such as the Captain Cook Society (www.captaincooksocisety.com/home/detail/new-zealand-list) about the visit by Queen Elizabeth II relates to her arrival in New Zealand on 12 March 1970 for the Cook Bicentenary celebrations. She arrived with the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles, and Princes Anne (on her first visit to New Zealand), leaving on the 30 March.
