Description

A young advertising artist shows his boss an ad for Labour, which shows a car with a 'LABOUR' licence plate, and the logo 'The fear of New Zealand'. His boss sees the ad as meaning something different to its intended message

The cartoon was a response to the appointment of Hutcheson Knowles Marinkovich as advertising agency to the Labour Party. The agency had recently created a highly visible and popular ad campaign for Honda which was based on the thought 'Honda. The fear of Europe' (information from donor)
