Cabinet card portraits of men and women, taken circa 1890s by three Napier photographers.
Includes a seated studio portrait of Constable Thomas Harvey in circa 1896. Harvey wears his policeman's uniform, including hat, whistle, and a medal [long service?]. The subjects of the other three portraits are unidentified, showing a young woman (with the inscription "To my [dear?] Auntie from Janice" on rear of card) and two group images [possibly a brother and sister and another of their parents?].
Photographers are Samuel Carnell, Elite Studio (Hastings Street), and Charles Sorrell (Dickens Street).

Provenance: The photographs had been purchased by Ms Kelley Rogers of Queensland, Australia, from Aalders Auctions, from the estate of Herb Berger. The auction was held on 10 November 2013 at a house in Mudgeeraba. Ms Rogers donated the prints, and an album, to the State Library of South Australia, who then offered them to the Turnbull Library.
