Images show children inside a house at Whanarua Bay, and a roading gang towards Te Kaha, East Coast Road, taken in 1963 by Ans Westra. Unless otherwise stated all persons are unidentified.
Images show tamariki and pepe framed in the doorway of a house and gathered in the kitchen around a woman, who holds an infant (pepe). The number of family members (whanau) shown varies. Also shows a roading gang shovelling earth along the East Coast Road towards Te Kaha.
