Description

Interviewer Henare Kingi (Ngā Puhi) conducts a telephone interview with Patariki Te Rei (Ngāti Toa) who talks about the use of the haka 'Ka Mate' by the New Zealand Rugby Union, and the current view of Ngāti Toa on the haka. The interview gives the history of the haka, concluding with his views on the outstanding past wrongs. Te Rei also talks about behaviour on Waitangi Day, saying "Kaua te pai e utua ki te kino' and 'utua te kino ki te pai'.
