Interviewer Piripi Walker conducts a two-part interview with Reverend Maori Marsden (Ngāi Takoto).

The recording on tape one (OHT7-1460) starts with a Yothu Yindi song, then Piripi Walker talks with Māori Marsden about mauri, the nature of atua Māori, and te mana Māori. Marsden comments on the impulse to search out rituals and atua within traditional Māori religion. He discusses gathering together 'matakite' in Te Tai Tokerau, people with gifts as 'seers', and encouraging them to use their gifts under direction of 'Te Runga Rawa'. Marsden states "Te tino tapu ko te tapu o te wairua, ko Te Wairua Tapu".

Tape two (OHT7-1468) opens with the ending of the discussion on ancestral Māori religion, tapu, and Christian thought. Interviewer then announces the death of Rosie Watch from the Far North and announces a poroporoaki for her. Concludes with Christian karakia.
