Three tracks: Single adult males, territory calls, sitting on song perches.
Tracks 1 and 2: Kapiti Island.
Track 1: steep eastern side of island, mixed broadleaf forest; distance 15m; weather cool fine; recorded 23 April 1983.
Track 2: in bush beside greenhouse in Ranger's garden; some background noise; weather fine, light S wind, 11 deg; recorded 27 Sep 1983.
Track 3: Little Barrier Island, valley track, mixed forest on valley side; distance 15m; weather fine mild; recorded Sept 1988.
