Track 1: pair of adults, territory calls; locality Ngamanu Trust Sanctuary, Waikanae; grass flat beside no. 1 pond; walking together across grass; distance 4m, slight wind noise; weather fine cool, slight S wind; recorded 17 Mar 1983, 1030 hrs.
Track 2: pair of adults; territory calls and calls between pair; locality Maud Island, hillside above homestead dam, sheep pastures; feeding on grass when disturbed, later flew off; slight wind noise; weather fine calm 12 deg C; recorded 11 Aug 1983, 1000 hrs.
Track 3: three ducklings about 3 weeks old confined in wire mesh cage; locality Kapiti Island beside ranger's house, on lawn; distance 1m; slight background noise; weather fine warm, moderate NW wind; recorded 11 Nov 1984.
