A pakeha and brother of Richard Coughlan) Includes information about Peter Buck's time in Waima and at Rawene Hospital. Mentions the largest oak tree in New Zeland with branches 40 feet out from the trunk of the tree, the native school which, at one time was the third largest native school in New Zealand, and the building of the non-denominational Waima Church built by the community from 1908 to 1912.
