Phyllis Walker interviewed at Hiruharama School discusses present difficulties with teaching Maori, comments on books available written in Maori and that all the children at the school at present are Maori. Details her age, the schools whe went to, when she first came to Ruatoria, her whangai and makes some comments about the forthcoming 1995 Jubilee.
Video also includes Form 1 and Form 2 pupils in class with teacher Victor Takarangi and views of children in the playground at the finish of school and waiting for the school bus.
