Pascoe (Pat) Redwood born Thames, 1901. Outlines family background - great-grandfather, John Redwood, a builder / joiner in London, came to New Zealand ca 1858. Refers to catholic branch of family with reference to Bishop Redwood.
Outlines working career, starting after his European trip as a sign-writer with Chandler & Co., an advertising agency, and in 1933 became partner with brother in Auckland Glass Company which was sold to Winstone Ltd, 1970. Recalls developing several innovations for the manufacturing and retailing of glass in New Zealand with reference to surveillance mirrors used in retail shops. Discusses use of glass in changing architectural and structural methods. Backgrounds decision to sell AGC (Auckland Glass Company) to Winstone Ltd, in 1970.
