Description

Dr Denny Gillies talks about her family background, her childhood, her reason for choosing medicine as a career, university education, Otago Medical School, Dr Fitchett, holidays and social life, tuberculosis, hydatids, time as house surgeon at Palmerston North, Napier Earthquake, reasons for going to England and not into private practice, post graduate study at Cambridge University studying radiology, return to New Zealand as radiologist at Palmerston North Hospital and then move into private practice in Wellington, type of work, attitudes of patients.
