Description

Life history interviews with long-term residents of Kilbirnie and Lyall Bay commissioned by the Kilbirnie-Lyall Bay Community Centre. Participants discuss the houses they live in, often family homes; the shops and services available when they were children; changes in the two Wellington suburbs; family life, routines and relationships; their activities as children; and major events such as the Centennial Exhibition and the building of Wellington Airport at Rongotai.
