Scenes at Hui Topu, the first all Aoteoroa Anglican Maori hui, taken in May 1962, by Ans Westra at Turangawaewae Marae, Ngaruwahia. Unless otherwise stated all persons are unidentified. Two young girls in frames 7 to 9, were named at a later date by an unidentified attendee at the hui, named as Paoa[?] Hetet, and Huritau Muru.
Images consist of:
- Children playing with a skipping rope.
- People standing on the veranda of Te Mahinarangi meeting house.
- Children standing outside of Te Mahinarangi meeting house.
- Frame 10 and 12 show Reverend Kingi Ihaka with his family.
- Three women sitting down inside.
