Cadastral map showing Hokianga County in the Far North District. Boundaries are indicated for named blocks: Whangape, Maungamuku, Kohukohu, Taheke, Waihou, Motukaraka, Horoeke, Rawere, and Omapere. Some corrections to the boundaries have been done in white.
Annotation in red ink says "Rawene and Kohukohu are dependent Town Districts. Kohukohu Town District merged with Hokianga County Gaz 1954 p170 Rawene Town District merged with Hokianga County Gaz 1962 p1556 Rawene & Kohukohu now County Town Ridings altered Gaz 1962 p.1470".
Pencil annotations note that the Hokianga Harbour is included in the County. An arrow points to the Harbour entrance and says "Statute 1876 & Gaz 1903, bounded by ocean".
Another annotation near Whangape Harbour reads "Bdy [boundary] from North Head by tidal waters of Awarua Estuary to its confluence with the Awaroa River at the Awaroa Bridge".
