Panoramic view of Hokitika showing two churches across the road from each other. St Mary's Catholic Church (designed by the Luttrell Brothers) is on the right. Further right is a single-storied wooden house belonging to the church with a fenced lawn, and a circular path leading up to the house, around a fountain. Across the road is a church with a large rose window on the left. A two-storeyed building behind has verandahs along the ground floor. Car parked on the road between (number plate: WN7640).
